One person was injured in an explosion at a Danvers high school Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.
The explosion was reported at the Essex Agricultural & Technical High School around 2:30 p.m., in a detached building behind the school, said Danvers Fire Lieutenant Brian Barry.
One employee sustained "relatively minor" injuries, and was taken to an area hospital, Barry said. No students were injured in the explosion.
Crews are at the scene to determine the cause of the incident. Barry said it was likely due to a gas explosion.
When fire crews arrived, school was just letting out for the day.
