Man shot inside Roslindale home where drugs were seized in October

A man in his 20s was shot on Sunday night inside the same Roslindale home where authorities had seized more than five pounds of marijuana and a firearm in October, police said.

The shooting occurred around 6:50 p.m. at 9 Ridge St., and the man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, said Boston police Officer James Kenneally, a department spokesman.

No arrests were reported on Sunday night, and it was not immediately clear which hospital the man was taken to for treatment.

Boston police had raided the same address on the afternoon of Oct. 2 and seized approximately 5½ pounds of marijuana, a loaded 9-millimeter Sig Sauer, and $750 in US currency, the department said at the time in a statement.

Police arrested Ruddys Pimentel, 32, during the October raid on a charge of possession with intent to distribute class D drugs.

Kenneally could not say on Sunday whether the shooting victim lived at the Ridge Street address.
