Mark US Senator Elizabeth Warren down as uncommitted about whether Boston should host the Summer Olympics in 2024.
After the Olympic bid organizers met with the state’s congressional delegation in Washington last week, its senior senator said she wanted to see how a series of meetings across the state plays out. The Boston 2024 organizing committee includes members of Warren’s high command from the 2012 campaign and several longtime Democratic powerbrokers.
“I was glad to meet last week with the entire delegation, and we talked with the Olympic organizers. They made a presentation. Glad to hear it, but I still have a lot of questions about it,” Warren said during a visit to Greenfield Community College Thursday.
Warren said she was curious about “the funding and how priorities will be established.”
“I’m still looking for a lot more information,” Warren said.
