Former governor Deval Patrick will be the principal speaker at Harvard’s spring commencement, the college announced Monday. President Drew Faust described Patrick, a member of Harvard’s class of 1978, as “a deeply dedicated public servant, and an inspiring embodiment of the American dream.” “We greatly look forward to welcoming him home to Harvard on Commencement Day,” Faust said in a statement. Commencement is scheduled for May 28 in Tercentenary Theatre in Harvard Yard.
