Lynn man convicted in fatal drug robbery

A Lynn man was convicted of second-degree murder for his role in a drug robbery in which an accomplice was shot to death, even though he did not pull the trigger. Stephane Etienne was convicted Tuesday in the January 2012 death of Christopher Pichardo. Sentencing is Friday. Prosecutors said Etienne, Pichardo, and Robinson Tejeda went to a Boston home intending to rob Frederick Reynoso after arranging to buy marijuana from him. Pichardo and Reynoso pulled guns and fired. Pichardo was killed. The Supreme Judicial Court has previously ruled that someone who takes part in a dangerous criminal act may be held liable for a resulting death. (AP)
