Motorcyclist dies after colliding with car in Dorchester

A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Saturday night in Dorchester, said Boston Police Captain Timothy Connolly.

The accident occurred just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Shirley Street. The motorcyclist was found dead at the scene, Connolly said, and two people who were in the car were transported to the Tufts Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

“We are still trying to determine what happened,” Connolly told reporters at the scene. Police did not identify any of the victims, or the types of vehicles involved.
