University of New Haven set to ban tobacco products on campus

The University of New Haven is kicking off a campuswide ban on all tobacco products with a celebration on Monday. As of June 1 the university is banning tobacco and electronic cigarettes on its campuses in West Haven and Orange. The policy applies to all outdoor areas as well as university facilities and university-owned vehicles. The celebration planned for Monday outside a health services building will involve students bashing a piñata in the shape of a cigarette.
