There was plenty of blame to go around as the city’s 2024 Olympic bid ended, but few could have had a crummier week than John Fish, the chief executive of Suffolk Construction Co., who led the Boston bid to the US nomination and then plunged it into nonstop controversy. There was a time when nearly no one but Fish could even imagine the Olympics here — a period quickly eclipsed by the months in which he was blamed for every mismanaged glitch, goof, and embarrassment.
