An 18-year-old man died Wednesday night after he was pulled from Manchaug Pond in Douglas, a statement from Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said.
Timothy J. Ellsessar of Sutton was swimming off a boat with friends and diving to the bottom of the Manchaug Pond just after 8 p.m. when he surfaced and told his friends he felt dizzy, the statement said.
Ellsessar started to sink and friends pulled him onto the boat and performed CPR. The group took the boat back to shore at Lake Manchaug Camping and were met a short time later by Douglas police and fire.
