Man charged with drunken driving in Boston crash that injured one

A two-car rollover crash early Sunday morning on Storrow Drive in Boston ended with a one driver transported to a hospital and another facing drunken-driving charges, according to State Police.

Troopers from the Brighton barracks responded to a 2:13 a.m. report of a crash on Storrow Drive westbound at University Road, said Massachusetts State Police Trooper Dustin Fitch. The first officer arrived at 2:15 a.m. and a second at 2:17 a.m.

“Upon arrival, they found a 2005 Toyota Camry on its roof,” said Fitch. “The driver had already exited the vehicle. There was a passenger still inside the vehicle.”

The driver of the Camry, 23-year-old Alejandro Theodosiou of Newton, was not injured. After evaluation, the passenger was not transported to medical facilities.

The second vehicle, a 2008 Honda Accord, was driven by a 26-year-old Cambridge man who was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities had the scene cleared at 3 a.m.

Theodosiou was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation, speeding, and a marked lanes violation, said Fitch.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Brighton District Court.
