A man and a woman died after their car collided with another car Saturday night in Antrim, N.H., outside Concord, Antrim police said.
The victims were identified as Janet Withington, 67, of Hillsborough, N.H., and James Bouchard, 63, of Hillsborough.
Withington was driving a white 1997 Toyota RAV4 sports utility vehicle on Route 9 near the intersection of Route 31 South around 6:45 p.m., when their vehicle was hit by a blue 2003 Kia Sorento driven by Liam P. Flaherty, 18, of Farmington, N.Y., police said.
Police said Flaherty was traveling westbound on Route 9 when his car lost control and veered into the eastbound lane, smashing into the Toyota.
Flaherty did not appear to have any injuries, police said.
Bouchard, who was a passenger in the Toyota, died on the scene. Withington was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., where she died.
Police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the crash, but the incident is still under investigation.
The investigation is being led by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit with assistance by the Antrim police and New Hampshire State Police.
