A worker suffered life-threatening injuries in Allston Wednesday morning after falling from a lift at a construction site on Commonwealth Avenue, officials said.
The man, 47, of Nashua, N.H., fell 50 to 60 feet, a witness told police. He was not identified.
Officer Rachel McGuire, a Boston police spokeswoman, said the man was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The incident occurred at 1047 Commonwealth Ave. Police responded at approximately 6:20 a.m., McGuire said.
