A Beverly man was arrested last week after he allegedly threw a beer bottle at an MBTA employee at Haymarket Station, according to Transit Police.
Transit Police officers arrived at the station around 7 p.m. Thursday and spoke to the MBTA employee, who said passengers had been complaining about being harassed by John Reddy, 37, of Beverly.
When the employee approached Reddy, Reddy allegedly threw a beer bottle that almost struck the employee in the head, police said.
Reddy then allegedly shouted he would "kill" the employee.
Transit police officers found broken glass scattered around the area and arrested Reddy on charges of assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
