Riders on MBTA’s Red Line facing ‘minor delays’

MBTA passengers on the Red Line are experiencing "minor delays" in both directions due to a disabled train at the North Quincy station, the MBTA reported at 9 a.m.

On the roadways, building volume and accidents scattered on major highways is slowing the morning commute.

Earlier Thursday morning, commuters using Route 1 faced delays following an accident Thursday morning and other highways connecting to Greater Boston were starting to see volume slowdowns, according to traffic monitors.

The accident on Route 1 southbound was in the left lane in Revere near Copeland Circle, according to the Total Traffic and Weather Network, which estimated it was causing a 12 minute delay around 6:30 a.m.

South of the city, the left lane was blocked on Interstate 95 northbound near Exit 4 around 6:35 a.m., according to Total Traffic.

Earlier Thursday, a disabled vehicle on the Southeast Expressway in Milton was contributing to traffic slowdowns, along with building volume.
