A car fire and a crash were reported north of Boston on Monday. The MBTA reported everything was moving smoothly around 7:15 a.m.

For South Shore commuters, MassDOT is warning that the Fore River bridge was scheduled to open Monday at 7 a.m. and is also scheduled to open at 10 a.m. to allow a tanker to sail by.

A car fire in Peabody was reported on Interstate 95 northbound around 6:45 a.m. near Exit 45, where Route 128 splits off from I-95. A crash on Interstate 93 was reported near Exit 37 (Interstate 95/Route 128) around 7 a.m.

Other highways into Boston, including the Southeast Expressway, were largely problem-free around 7:15 a.m., according to traffic monitors.


The T reported the Red Line was experiencing minor delays due to a disabled train at the Ashmont Station, but other subway and commuter rail lines were on schedule.
