Body found off South Boston shore

Firefighters retrieved a body from the water off a South Boston shore Saturday morning, according to officials. They responded to a call shortly after 8:30 a.m. reporting a person in the water about 30 feet out, Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said.

The body was found under the West Fourth Street Bridge and Boston Police are investigating, according to Officer Rachel McGuire, a police spokeswoman.
