The man who died in a barrage of gunfire early Monday morning in Roxbury has been identified as 28-year-old Allex Bryant of Boston, police said.

Officers responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 66 Humboldt Ave. around 3:05 a.m. on Monday and found Bryant suffering from gunshot wounds, Boston police department said in a statement on Wednesday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Authorities said a second victim, a man in his early 20s, sustained minor injuries after being shot in the ankle.

Neighbors said on Monday that a resident of the apartment complex arrived with a group of people around 2:30 a.m., and that gunfire broke out about half an hour later when an argument spilled onto the street.
