Police ‘arrest’ Easter Bunny for lack of permit

Not even the Easter Bunny can catch a break when it comes to Boston’s bureaucratic permitting process.

An officer from the Boston Police Department on Friday posted a series of tongue-in-cheek photos to social media insinuating that the Easter Bunny had been arrested for possession of Easter eggs without proper documentation.

“Easter Bunny arrested, no permit for Easter Eggs,” wrote police captain John Greland on Twitter, citing the bunny’s violations.

Greland’s tweet was accompanied by a photo of the Easter Bunny sitting in the back seat of a police cruiser, gripping the bars.

The police captain later shared an image of the Easter Bunny being “pawprinted” at the police station, before then being placed into custody and left in a holding cell.

“Bad Bunny,” Greland wrote.

Luckily, Easter was saved by a Good Samaritan, ensuring the people of Boston will receive plenty of candy on Sunday.

“Someone came in with 24 carrots and bailed her out,” Greland said.
