A woman is dead after a car crash in Duxbury Saturday evening, police said.
The victim was not identified. She crashed her car into a tree on High Street shortly before 8 p.m, said Duxbury Police Sgt. Dennis Symonds.
Police responded to a report of a single car crash, he said.
The victim was trapped in the vehicle and suffered traumatic arrest, the Duxbury Fire Department said in a Tweet. The victim was trapped inside the vehicle, and went into traumatic arrest, according to Tweets from the Duxbury Fire Department.
The Jaws of Life were used to remove her from the vehicle, according ot the fire department.

.She was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where she later died, acording to Symmonds.
Her name being witheld until her next of kin is notified.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
