The weather word for Monday is: Rainy.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the early stages of the morning commute will be dry, but the rain will start later Monday and persist throughout. Bursts of heavy rain are expected and about three-quarters of inch expected in Boston before rain ends, forecasters said.
Temperatures will rise into the 40s where they will remain throughout Monday and foggy areas are expected during the evening commute and into Monday night, forecasters said.
Finally, the rainy, chilly weather will be not be succeeded by a weather system with powerful winds that could gust up to 50 miles an hour, forecasters said.
A wind advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday, forecasters said. Temperatures will rise into the 50s with sunny skies on Tuesday, forecasters said.
Warmer air is expected to move into the region for the end of the week.
Sunshine on Wednesday will warm highs into the 50s. Temperatures are expected to crest in the 60s on Thursday and Friday, forecasters said.
