Duxbury police probe photos of students ‘in varying stages of undress’

Duxbury police are trying to find out who posted pictures online of Duxbury High School students “in varying stages of undress,’’ officials said.

Duxbury High officials alerted police about the posting Wednesday, and officials quickly removed the images.

“There are some young people here who are very embarrassed and very upset,” said Duxbury Police Chief Matthew Clancy. “They made a mistake and someone took advantage of that.’’

The photographs were posted on Dropbox. Authorities are working with Dropbox to determine who uploaded the files.

At a news conference Friday, Clancy said the girls feel victimized that the photographs became public.
