A small earthquake rattled the earth near Franconia, N.H., Tuesday morning, the US Geological Survey said.
The 1.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Easton Road in Sugar Hill, N.H., at 11:54 a.m.
Sugar Hill police said residents did not report feeling the quake.
The earthquakes happen sometimes, a dispatcher said, but they are not strong when they do.
Officials say the tremblor originated 3 miles underground. The area is near the Cannon Mountain ski area.
