Teen bicyclist is hit by vehicle in Dorchester

A teenager on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in Dorchester this afternoon, Boston police said.

The 15-year-old male was hit at about 3 p.m. on Aspinwall Road, according to Myeshia Henderson, a police spokeswoman. She had no further information on the teen’s identity, but said the driver of the vehicle did stay at the scene.

Police spokesman David Estrada said the boy is in serious condition tonight, but that his injuries are not life-threatening.
