Officials on Thursday found the body of a 26-year-old man who went missing in Great Herring Pond in Plymouth a day earlier.
The swimmer's body was found at about 2:25 p.m., according to Plymouth Fire Chief Ed Bradley.
Officials began searching for the man, who had been on a boat with two friends, shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday. The search was suspended shortly before 7 p.m. because of weather conditions and nightfall.
Bradley said officials began searching again at 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The man's body was recovered by a dive crew member and a firefighter.
