Dorchester shooting is third in Boston in 24 hours

In the third shooting in Boston in 24 hours, a man was shot in Dorchester early Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The man was shot at 62 Clifton St. at about 12:45 p.m., said Lieutenant Detective Michael McCarthy, spokesman for Boston police. The man suffered from injuries that were not life-threatening, he said.

A man was fatally shot at about 3 p.m. Monday on Bullard Street in Dorchester.

At about 8 p.m. Monday, another man was taken to Boston Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening after a shooting on D Street in South Boston, according to Boston police spokeswoman Myeshia Henderson.
