Police looking for Roxbury Community College attacker

Roxbury Community College issued a security alert Wednesday, notifying students of an alleged sexual assault on campus on Dec. 6.

Jordan Smock, a college spokeswoman, confirmed the attack in an e-mail to the Globe.

The incident was reported to Boston police, who are looking for an individual, described as a white male, overweight, who is about 40 years old, the alert stated.

The incident happened at 9:40 p.m. outside the men’s locker room in the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center, the alert stated.

The individual attacked the student from behind, attempted to choke them, and fled the area.

Campus security responded to the incident, and later informed Boston police about the situation.

Anyone with information about the incident, or the alleged assailant, is asked to contact Boston police at 617-541-5329 or dial O from a campus phone to reach the college security.
