One person died Tuesday afternoon in a fiery two-vehicle crash on Route 125 in Andover, State Police said.
A tractor trailer was stopped at the traffic light at Gould Road when the victim’s minivan struck it from behind. The victim’s vehicle burst into flames around 5 p.m., according to State Police spokesman Paul Sullivan.
Police did not identify the victim, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, Sullivan said.
The driver of the tractor trailer, a 42-year-old man from Marblehead, was not injured and remained at the scene, Sullivan said.
The force from the impact of the crash caused the trailer to hit the cab of the truck, cracking the rear window, he added.

Authorities closed the intersection of Route 125 and Gould Road for over three hours to extinguish the fire and clear the road.
State Police and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the accident.
No charges have been filed, according to Sullivan.
