The Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth reconnected to the energy grid on Sunday, according to a spokesman for the plant.
It had shut down Thursday morning as a heavy snowstorm buffeted the region, according to a statement from Patrick O’Brien, the spokeman.
The station had been operating at 30 percent power from Monday to Thursday, after officials found seawater leaking into one of the plant’s condenser tubes and workers begain repairing that leak and plugging additional tubes to avoid future leaks, O’Brien said.
During the time the plant was offline, workers performed additional preventative maintenance tasks that could not be completed while the facility operates at full power, O’Brien said.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials said Thursday that their resident inspectors at Pilgrim were monitoring the shutdown and repair work.
