Boston man arrested after East Boston stabbing

Boston police arrested a Boston man in connection with a non-fatal stabbing in East Boston early Monday.

The victim was stabbed near 90 Bennington St. at around 1:30 a.m. Monday. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment.

Walter Hernandez Luna, 39, was found while police were on the scene and charged with attacking the victim, police wrote in a statement.

Police allege Luna had been fighting with the victim when he allegedly pulled out a box cutter and stabbed the man.

Luna was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
