Yes, it’s springtime. But also, yes, that was fresh snow in higher elevations in New England this morning.
Snow fell from the Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts to Vermont and New Hampshire overnight, as seen in photos posted online.
Wet weather and chilly temperatures combined to bring a reminder of winter.
Some places in the Berkshires received a dusting of snow. But Mount Snow in Vermont saw about six inches.
Forecasts call for continued rain in New England into Monday morning. Hail is possible in the Berkshires. Lows in the 40s Sunday night are expected in many places in the region.
