Police arrest 10 in Sandisfield pipeline protest

State Police Wednesday arrested 10 people at a protest of a natural gas pipeline in Sandisfield.

Michele Vitti, 67, of Arlington; Fergus Marshall, 68, of Chicopee; Micah Carpenter-Lott, 24, of Sutton; and Ryan Smart, 27, of Cambridge were charged with trespassing.

Vivienne Simon, 67, of Northampton; Rema Loeb, 84, of Plainfield; Dennis Carr, 62, of Cummington; Erik Burcroff, 57, of Plainfield; Steven Botkin, 62, of Pelham; and Priscilla Lynch, 65, of Conway were charged with disorderly conduct.

Construction of the pipeline has drawn several protests. In July, 22 demonstrators were arrested and charged with trespassing.
