A person was shot Saturday night in Roxbury and taken to the hospital, according to Boston Police.
Officers responded around 9:45 p.m. to reports of a person shot in the area of Dabney and Regent streets, Officer Stephen McNulty, a Boston police spokesman, said in an e-mail.
McNulty said he did not know the condition of the victim and could not provide any information on whether the victim was a man or woman.
The area near Dudley Square was blocked off by police as they investigated the shooting.
Indhira Prandy, who has lived in the neighborhood for seven years, said the intersection is considered dangerous by neighbors.
A man was fatally shot at the same intersection in April 2014.
“I don’t know what’s going on with this corner right here but when something bad is happening, it happens right here,” Prandy said. “I don’t know how to explain. It always happens right here.”
She said she avoid walking through the intersection.
The shooting remains under investigation.
