Bedford police are asking the public for help to identify a man who allegedly robbed a bank Friday afternoon, Police Chief Robert Bongiorno said in a statement.
At 1:38 p.m., police responded to the Bank of America branch on The Great Road for a reported robbery, the statement said.
A man, desribed as white or Hispanic, entered the bank and passed a note to a teller, demanding money, according to Bongiorno.
The suspect, who is believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s, stands about 5 feet 9 inches, and has a stocky build, the statement said.
Both local and federal law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
