The Burlington teenager charged in connection with a Somerville police officer’s death in a New Hampshire crash was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his home on a bail violation in a pending case, officials said.

Michael Ricci, 18, was taken into custody “without incident,” Burlington police said in a statement Tuesday night.

Ricci will remain overnight at the Burlington police station, pending his arraignment Wednesday at Lowell Juvenile Court, police said.

The nature of the incident for which he allegedly violated the conditions of his bail was not disclosed.

Ricci was driving a Mercedes-Benz, and racing other cars on Interstate 95 in New Hampshire Sunday morning, when he allegedly struck a motorcycle driving by Somerville Police Officer Louis Remigio, 55, of Tewksbury, who died from his injuries Tuesday.

Ricci was arrested by New Hampshire State Police on a charge of reckless conduct while driving. He was released on $10,000 cash bail. His arraignment is set for Oct. 20 in Rockingham County Superior Court. Remigio’s death could lead to new, more serious charges, officials said.
