A 25-year-old man was shot in Revere on Monday night, according to police.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired on Shirley Avenue around 7 p.m. Monday, according to Revere Police Lieutenant Amy O’Hara. The shooting occurred outside in the vicinity of 155 Shirley Ave., and the victim sustained injuries to his arm and lower extremities, she said.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. “He is expected to survive but is very lucky,” said O’Hara.
The shooting does not appear to be random and is actively under investigation, she said.
