Man stabbed in Neponset section of Dorchester

A man was stabbed in the Neponset section of Dorchester on Monday morning, according to police.

Boston Emergency Medical Services responded to the area of Chickatawbut and Plain streets around 5:50 a.m. and found an adult man who had been stabbed, EMS Lieutenant Patrick Rose said.

Rose said the man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A Boston Police Department spokeswoman, Officer Rachel McGuire, said that it was a domestic incident and that the victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Under state law, law enforcement can not release information about a domestic violence situation until a defendant is arraigned in court.
