A car fire temporarily shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 93 at the Braintree split Thursday morning.
The state Department of Transportation tweeted at 6:56 a.m. that the northbound lanes of the highway before Exit 6 had to be closed temporarily due to the fire.
At 7:06 a.m. state officials tweeted that two right travel lanes had been reopened to traffic, and by 7:32 a.m. all of the lanes were reopened to traffic.
It’s unknown if there were any injuries.
