Teen arrested in fatal East Boston shooting
A Brockton teenager has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting a man in East Boston on Sunday, police said.
Thorus O’Brien, 18, was charged with murdering Duncan Ketter, 21, police said. He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in East Boston District Court.
Ketter was shot around 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of Orleans and Marginal Streets, police said. Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said it appeared that Ketter was shot in a car and then dumped on the street near a snow bank.
In a statement, Evans said he hoped the arrest “sends a loud, clear message that gun violence will not be tolerated in our city.”
A police department spokesman said the shooting was possibly drug-related.
