FBI searching for man behind 4 bank robberies in Boston over the past week

The FBI is searching for a brazen bandit suspected in at least four bank robberies in Boston over the past week.

The suspect is described as a small, white male in his 40s, standing around 5 feet, 6 inches tall with “very defined cheek lines on his face,” the FBI said.

During each of the four robberies, the man wore a long sweatshirt or jacket, long pants, and a hat. In three of the robberies, he also wore sunglasses. The man did not display a weapon at any of the banks.

The four robberies occurred around Boston over the past week. The man is suspected in the robberies of a Commerce Bank branch at 1320 Washington St. on Dec. 6, a Santander Bank branch at 585 Columbia Road on Dec. 7, a Metro Credit Union branch at 1071 Massachusetts Ave. on Dec. 9, and an East Boston Savings Bank branch at 708 East Broadway on Dec. 11.

In each robbery, the man displayed a note and demanded cash, the FBI said.
