Two Chelsea men were arrested during a traffic stop Sunday night in Revere for carrying three knives, nearly 100 Percocet pills, and dozens of grams of marijuana, State Police said.
Mitchell Londono, 26, and Oscar Justiniano, 24, both of Chelsea, were apprehended at 6 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Beach Street, police said.
State Police pulled the men over after they failed to signal and yield or stop. While searching the vehicle, a blue Dodge Caravan, they found 96 Percocet pills, three knives — with blade lengths between 3 and a half and 6 inches — nearly 40 grams of marijuana, and more than $3,600 in cash, police said.
Both men were arrested and transported to the State Police barracks in Revere for booking. Londono was charged with the unlawful possession of a Class D substance, possession with intent to distribute Class D drugs, carrying a dangerous weapon, and he was given a motor vehicle citation for failing to signal, yield/stop, and use of a motor vehicle without authority.
Justiniano was charged with the unlawful possession of a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs, and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was also given a motor vehicle citation for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court Wednesday, police said.Elise Takahama can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow her on Twitter @elisetakahama.
