If the snowy weather ahead is disrupting your travel plans, you may not be entirely out of luck.
Some airlines will be waiving cancellation and rebooking fees for passengers whose travel plans might be affected by the near-blizzard conditions expected to hit the region on Thursday.
Airlines taking part in the travel waivers include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, and United Airlines, and they’re all offering roughly the same thing: Cancel your flight for a refund; or rebook your flight between the same cities for another date within a week, and you won’t face any fees.
A variety of different cities are affected across the airlines, but locally, the cities include Boston; Worcester; Hartford, Conn.; New Haven, Conn.; Manchester, N.H.; Burlington Vt.; Bangor, Maine; Portland, Maine; and Providence, R.I.
Not all cities are included in all travel waivers, so check your airline for more details.
Some airlines are also offering waivers for a handful of airports in the South, where winter weather is expected to affect travel as well.Felicia Gans can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow her on Twitter @FeliciaGans.
