    Four-alarm fire tears through N.H. antique dealership

    A four-alarm fire tore through an antique dealership in Swanzey, N.H., early Sunday, fire officials said.

    The blaze at Knotty Pine Auction Service at 787 West Swanzey Road broke out around 12:12 a.m., the Swanzey Fire Department said.

    The building’s front wall and roof collapsed shortly after firefighters arrived, a statement said.


    About 16 towns responded to help put out the blaze, according to the statement. No injuries were reported.

    The building did not have sprinklers, Swanzey Fire Chief Norman Skantze said in a phone interview. The fire is not considered suspicious.

    The building was built in 1960 and is primarily used for antiques sales and auctions, Swanzey fire said.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.
