Shuttle buses will replace early morning train service for a section of the Orange Line on Sunday because of “emergency station repairs” related to a leak at Community College Station, according to the MBTA.

The previously unscheduled work, which the T announced on Twitter Friday, will require shuttles to run between Sullivan Square and North Station from the start of service at 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Lisa Battiston, a spokeswoman for MassDOT, said the repairs include work outside the station. “The repairs being made this weekend involve repairing a drainage issue from the roadway above Community College that has caused water to leak near Community College’s track area,” she said in an e-mail.
