Bobcat spotted in Concord

Concord police are urging local residents to be on the look out for a bobcat spotted in town on Thursday afternoon.

The black bobcat was seen cutting through a yard on Westford Road, police said in a statement.

Bobcats are medium-sized felines can grow to about twice the size of a domestic house cat, according to Mass.Gov. They usually hunt rabbits and hares but also eat mice, squirrels, skunks, opossums, muskrats, birds, and snakes.

They are the only wild cat in Massachusetts, according to Mass.Gov.
