A 67-year-old woman was critically injured when she was hit by a snow plow outside Tufts Medical Center on Wednesday night, Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans said.

The plow driver is a private contractor hired by Tufts Medical Center to clear streets and sidewalks around hospital grounds, Evans said.
