The National Weather Service says to get ready for some soaking, wind-swept rain, which will arrive late Tuesday night and continue Wednesday.
Some areas will get heavy downpours, and there could be a few rumbles of thunder, the forecasters said. That could cause flooding in urban and poor-drainage areas. One to 2 inches could fall over much of the area through Wednesday night.
The weather will clear late Wednesday. Mainly dry weather will follow Thursday through Saturday with mild temperatures. Sunday will turn chilly and blustery, the forecasters said. But it won’t last long.
Unseasonable heat is expected by the middle of next week. Temperatures in the 70s are expected Tuesday and Wednesday, while the normal high would be 60 to 65.
