Two men were arrested in Mattapan Wednesday night during a traffic stop after officers found heroin, cocaine, and an unlicensed gun with several rounds of ammunition in the car, police said.
Dakym Murray, 24, of Haverhill was charged with unlawful possession of ammunition, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute heroin, Boston police said in a statement. Jameel Sadler, 24, of Norwood was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, police said.
Police said Murray and Sadler were driving in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Culbert Street when officers stopped them as part of a Youth Violence Strike Force investigation at 8:11 p.m.
Officers found heroin, cocaine, and eight live rounds of ammunition in Murray’s possession, police said. He was driving the car at the time of the stop, authorities said. Sadler was also in possession of cocaine and a Springfield Armory .45-caliber gun loaded with seven live rounds of ammunition, police said.
