The sun will be shining in Boston as we kick off the work week.
Monday is shaping up to be sunny and hot, with temperatures reaching close to 90 in the Boston area, according to the National Weather Service.
“Another sunny and beautiful day on tap, although it will become very warm to hot in the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 away from the south coast,” forecasters tweeted.
Monday night is supposed to be clear, with a low around 68, and Tuesday should also be sunny, with a high near 91. Forecasters said there’s a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night, and then mainly dry weather and seasonable temperatures will return for the rest of the week.
Forecasters said Wednesday should be partly sunny in the Boston area, with a high near 77, and Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 63. Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 81, and Friday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
Forecasters said Tropical Storm Chris is expected to intensify into a hurricane but will likely pass well southeast of southern New England Wednesday into Thursday, which means the impacts of the storm would be limited to high surf and dangerous rip currents.
