Green Line service temporarily suspended between Brigham Circle and Heath Street

Green Line train service between Brigham Circle and Heath Street has been temporarily suspended for track repairs, the MBTA announced late Wednesday night.

A broken rail at Riverway eastbound has forced the suspension of service until Friday or possibly later, the MBTA said on Twitter.

“Given the location and condition of the track area, repairs to it will take extensive effort,” the MBTA tweeted .

Officials have urged passengers to use the Route 39 bus as an alternative.

Commuters are also urged to allow additional time for travel, the MBTA said.
