The US Coast Guard began searching the waters near South Monomoy Island after an unmanned dinghy was found floating adrift Thursday morning.
Boat crews from the Coast Guard Station Chatham launched the search after the empty dinghy was discovered by a Good Samaritan around 5:45 a.m., officials tweeted.
Coast Guard officials shared photos of the boat on social media and said there are currently no reports of people missing.
